Use Cases in jamovi
Three matched case-control studies, analysed step by step with Analyses ▸ Regression ▸ Logistic Regression ▸ Conditional (Matched). Every table on these pages is computed by the module itself, so the numbers are the ones jamovi shows.
| Use case | Design | Shows |
|---|---|---|
| Infertility after abortion | real data, 1:2 matching | the basic analysis; a count as a covariate or as a factor; a matching factor has no coefficient, but its interaction does; why the matching must not be ignored |
| Endometrial cancer and oestrogens | real data, 1:4 matching | the descriptive table with missing values; univariable and multivariable odds ratios with a forest plot; how missing values cost matched sets; a dose-response with its trend test; a loosely matched variable |
| A nested case-control study | simulated, 1:4 with variable ratio | reference levels of a text factor; blocks to see confounding; uninformative sets from missing values |
The data can be downloaded as CSV and opened in jamovi. case is coded 0 (control) and 1 (case). jamovi reads it as a nominal integer with 0 as the first level, so 0 is the reference level and the odds ratios compare cases with controls without changing anything.
